It was okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the sponge and the mirror that was provided with the pack. I was really excited to try this product as it is supposed to be very good for oily skin. It was okay but not as good as I expected it to be. My nose is usually the first part of my face to go oily and in this case it was. It didn't take that long for it to go oily and then a bit later the rest of my face started needing blotching. It's probably a good product for people who have mildly oily face but not for someone like me who's face can get very oily. This is not to say I wouldn't recommend it, but maybe not so much for people who are bad sufferers of oily skin like I am.

First time and impressed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Fit Me powder in Buff Beige. I haven't used an oil control setting powder, so was curious as to how it would work. After using my foundation, I then used the powder puff provided to press a small amount of powder on the T zone, to combat any oil during the day. Once applied, my forehead, nose and chin did look smooth and matte, with pores hidden, so pleased with the effect. I only used small amounts of powder at a time, otherwise I think more would have looked "caked". so a retouch was necessary during the day. Really pleased with the compact, with its secret mirror and puff. Good first impressions of this setting powder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems to work well. I've just been using it on my nose and a light dusting on my forehead (I have dry skin, but I don't like my nose to look shiny)
I usually use a matte primer for this, but this powder is convenient as it's easier to carry around to reapply (I haven't actually needed to reapply so far and I've been wearing it for around 7 or 8 hours without my nose getting shiny!)
I chose the colour Ivory. In the compact, I thought it looked a little too dark, but it looks fine once applied (my skin is fair, but not porcelain fair)
I like the design of the compact, a mirror and powder puff are concealed under the powder in a separate compartment.

Does what it says, but...

The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless did just that- it made my face matte and poreless. It blended in really well with my foundation and have a beautiful, flawless finish.
CONS
This was definitely not a colour match and left me looking really washed out. Plus I found it faded a little over the day and the matte look suddenly became less flawless leaving more of a sheer coverage.
Overall for those who want this effect, this product is just for you. However I would advice getting a good colour match unless you want to look like a ghost.
Note: In picture, the side with eyeliner has the Matte and Poreless without foundation but the other side has nothing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for almost a week now and I have to say, it goes on like velvet and is as smooth as velvet once applied. I have noticed also, that it completely masks any areas on my face that used to be a little greasy, and that for me, is a big plus-there's nothing worse than face makeup that 'slips' and its very pleasing to note that this product does not. The shade suits me and its also great that it does come in several different shades, which makes it even more nice. I wore it for a full day in the office, and I'm delighted with its staying power. There isn't anything I don't like about this product and overall, I think its a top notch quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder in the shade of caramel to match my darker skin tone, for a matte finish it's good however it loads too much Powder on the brush giving you not a subtle look that you would want to build up slowly as with other powders. It's not really giving me the wow factor as with other brands that are on the same level. The shade could also be better, it's not quite right. I would not buy this again, I prefer a layered effect that I can build myself by adding more. Surprised that the brand I like to use was not better than this. There are other brands out there that do it better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this part of a testing programme. Been using it for 2 weeks now. I can say it is very light, goes well on the skin however you can build on it if you wanted. It has silky satin finish to it. For light usage its great. It covered up my imperfections. I sometimes used it over my other foundation too like to press it on and it did wonders for that too. It didnt cause any breakouts. Such a compact case ans it has a sponge and mirror underneath so i just used it in my bag to travel. Only thing was it is one shade dark for me but try it on ur skin before you buy it because great variety of colour options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product. I have olive skin and am slightly tanned at the moment as I've been in the sunshine in the last week. Gotta make the most of it while it lasts ! The caramel colour is perfect for me at the moment. It could be a little dark without a tan, but at the moment it's perfect. The pressed powder is easy to use and gives a lovely matte finish to my make up. My pores are covered and I look like I have a healthy glow which is ideal for the summer months. I like the compact design which fits easily into my make up bag, and I'm looking forward to taking it on holiday to Paris with me this year as I want to look particularly flawless amongst the chic Parisian women !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well when I received the fit me powder I thought it's going to be an interesting review as I normally find the powders feel and look cakey. I was wrong about this one. It looks flawless on my skin. I wore it to a party and and received many comments on what I have been using for skin care as my skin looked really good. Little did they know it was the maybelline fit me powder that did wonders. This powder is definitely a keeper in my opinion and would recommend it to anyone who likes to look a million at a fraction of the price. Maybelline have done it again. Great product.

BRING BACK CHSADE 350!!!!!!

Deeply disappointed that shade 350 has been discontinued. You have no suitable powders for darker skinned women and its diabolical that in 2024 you feel that it is necessary to cater to lighter complexions and have the absolute nerve to advertise a powder(s) that has been discontinued. We as black women have been loyal customers and deserve to be represented according. Will not be purchasing another Maybelline product until you do something about this catastrophic marketing failure and wrong head of bored decision. If this is due to reformulation, then release a statement.

Poreless yes ! Matte not so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this powder very suitable for yellow based skin tones ( which luckily I am !) it DID make my pores appear smaller , however the "matte" didn't stay for very long, it didn't make my skin feel dry and was easily blended out , lightweight enough to wear during the day but probably wouldn't recommend for a night out, skin did have a healthy glow which bordered onto shiny/oily so maybe wouldn't recommend for oily skin but for me I really liked it, I have given it a four as it suited MY needs but wouldn't go so far as to say it's a matte powder for very long

Lovely lightweight powder that gives my pale skin a flawless look. Found it blends smoothly and evenly. Skin looks natural and fresh. Great range of colours, I used ivory. Easy to use and has an applicator included. You apply to the areas and then blend in. Can be worn alone or on top of foundation to help set your look. I mainly used it on top of my foundation. Helped set it well and lasted all day at work. Nice texture and didn't have any downsides to using. Happy to recommend this product.

I found it doesn't apply well with the sponge provided, it went patchy and didnt spread easily on my skin. However when I applied it used a brush I was very impressed, glided over my skin evenly and I could see better results on my pores!! I didn't reapply all day, there was slight oiliness towards the end of the day but I was shocked how long the results lasted.
I also love how the compact has a sponge and mirror compartment underneath the powder. Very handy for going out!

Ugly duckling to beautiful swan???

it comes with a round sponge and I apply with and without it (using one of my make up brushes ) i personally found using a brush was better then the sponge as it looked so thick and left lines .
Also the actual size of the product is perfect for touch up on nights ect (has a mirror )
Covers nicely freckles, small scars, and slight patchy skin .
And best of all it's lasted 12 HOURS !!!! Well chuffed lol .
Definitely recommend I LOVE IT!!

Loving Maybelline Fit Me Powder!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I have used the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder in Caramel a few times, and I wanted to make sure I really tried it out before leaving a review. I would like to point out that I didn't discover the mirror and sponge until my third use. I am really happy with the product and will definitely continue using it. It fulfils the claim that it gives a smooth finish, which is something that I needed. I would notice creasing and some roughness when applying just foundation with a normal powder, but finishing with the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder gave me a gorgeous, smooth and natural looking finish to my makeup. The colour was almost perfect for me (although slightly too warm). Would highly recommend this product!

It's easy to put on with a soft pad which glides across my skin. In the past, I've found powders often streaky on application. Not this one. It was smooth and looked very natural. I don't need to top it up often so it has lasted a long time. It didn't aggravate my skin which has happened with other powders. I loved the packaging with the mirror which made it so easy to carry around in my bag. I would definitely recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately the colour I received for this review was slightly off for my skin tone so I can't comment much on the colour match. I did however find the product to be quite coarse and with a fair bit of fallout when applying it, meaning some product did fall on my clothes when putting the product on. I also needed at least 2, more like 3, layers of the product to build enough that my skin was fully 'masked' so to say - I do prefer full coverage to medium/light though so if you prefer a more natural, light look this could work well for you.

All I can say is wow!! On the first application I had perfect coverage and a flawless finish, a lot of other mums when doing the afternoon school run commented that my makeup looked different and was asking what product I was using, which I was more than happy to recommend to them. I have already been searching online for competitive prices for this product, a definate winner!!

Didn't really FIT me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I really liked the compact - small, easily transportable & contains applicator and mirror. The Maybelline FIT me! Matte & Poreless went on beautifully giving me a smooth poreless matte finish - however - this did not last. Within a few hours the matte effect had worn off, my skin had developed a definite shine and my pores were much more visible. The texture felt lovely and light & blended out really well but the Caramel shade was slightly wrong for my skin and I ended up with a bit of an orange glow which made me look as if I'd trowelled it on! I loved the fact that FIT me! didn't irritate my very sensitive skin and could see that in the right shade this would be a very comfortable & efficient powder to use in the day for a few hours.

If you use too much you do end up looking a bit cakey, but the powder goes on smoothly, covers most flaws and blends well. I didn't hold out much hope on the matte front but I was shocked to see that after my walk to the station and hour long sweaty underground ride for once I looked fresh faced! The packaging is sleek but at first wad difficult to get into, but the little mirror is great and the supplied applicator works well. The colour was a good match too and I didn't notice it rubbing off onto my clothes. It did cover large pores well without clogging them up and my skin felt better than when I use my usual products. Overall, I am quite impressed!

The opening mechanism feels quite cheap, the plastic is quite light so I'd worry it would break if used too frequently. It does take a bit of pulling to open though so I wouldn't worry about it spilling.
I used over Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid on my t zone and took away any shine. As I have combination skin I don't use powder but may use this for a more fully made up look in future. It went on easily and didn't clump

A must for looking flawless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this first thing this morning when it came , I was a little dubious about using a powder as I have large pores that make up tends to settle in and look absolutely dreadful, anyway after I discovered the lift up powder tray and discovered the sponge and mirror I was good to go, it smoothed on very nicely across my T-zone and absolutely no clumps, it's been on for hours now and still no unsightly clumps , I've smoothed this over my cheeks as well and it hides the redness very well , its a must for looking flawless!!!

It's easily blendable, quick and fuss free to apply and it doesn't leave the streaky finish, that some powders do. It has blurred my fine lines, which is always a good thing for a 40 something and evens out your complexion. I have had lots of work colleagues asking what face make up I've changed to, as they think it looks so natural and not overly made up.
I do suffer with itchy skin from some face powders, but this one has been irritant free ......... I love it!

Not with this OMG shmazing I felt as fresh as the morning. People were asking where I got my flawless look from and couldn't believe how beautiful my skin was. The colour blended so well with my colouring and perfect with my eyeshadow. Sssssooooo yep I went and bought more so I will never run out. Old make up straight in the bin haha

I really like that the compact contains the powder along with a applicator sponge and a mirror.
I don’t usually use a powder as I don’t have a oily skin now and prefer a less matte look.
I found that the powder went on evenly and didn’t feel too heavy or drying on my skin. The colour I received was a little bit too light as I have a suntan at the moment but will probably be more suited once it fades.

It goes on so smoothly, it doesn’t feel like powder, it glides on like a cream. It doesn’t leave a powder residue and looks very natural!! It’s square with a hidden compartment that has a mirror & sponge which is very handy! It’s compact and stylish! It’s that lovely that my daughter went out and bought it and she’s very fussy about makeup! I will definitely be being Fit Me again!

The colour of the powder was perfect, so much so that I thought I wasn’t putting it on properly at first. The sponge allows for the right amount of powder to be picked up so you’ll never put too much on, but allows for you to build as needed. The powder is so lightweight and blends well without looking cakey or creasing, I’m definitely impressed and would 100% recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This powder was fine. It sat in my pores and didnt last long on my oily skin but the coverage was light and even. I used it over a stick foundation as a setting powder and that was fine. Possibly a bit cakey with the two but that was more the combination than the powder. Its fine for light covereage, non oily skin, and minimal obvious pores. Unfortunately, even trying with different primers, skin care etc, i did not get the poreless nor the "matte" effect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw the power I was sceptical about the colour match but was pleasantly surprised when I put it on.
It went on quite well, and definitely covered up my pores immaculately.
There were however two downsides to the product:
1. It felt coarse. The texture of the powder is very rough, and still felt like that when it was on my face.
2. The finish didn't last all day. I put it on at 7am, and by lunchtime I felt I need to put some more on again.

I've been struggling to find a powder which covered my blemishes but was also weightless and provided suitable coverage. Until using this product I hadn't found that balance. I hardly remembered I was wearing make up with this matte powder which looked so natural. It helped my confidence even further to receive lovely compliments. This product was so effective at reducing my pores and giving me a smooth finish that my friends and family thought my skin had returned back to being naturally blemish free! I would definitely recommend Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Powder and intend to stock up on this product. Both my sister and mother were so impressed with tge results that they intend to buy the powder. My shade was caramel which complimented my complexion very well - another challenge I often struggle with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this, it works best if you pop some face cream on first. My daughter didn't know I was using a different product and said that I looked much better than usual and my skin looked really fresh.
You'll need a big blusher type brush which I already had from using a different brand of mineral powder. I will definitely be buying this again.
It lasts all day and doesn't transfer to your clothes like some other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the results of the Maybelline Matte powder. The 'caramel' shade was a great match for my skin tone and the powder lasted far longer than my current (i.e. my now old) powder. I found that the results did actually give me a nice, smooth 'poreless appearance' and received quite a few compliments to this end which was a lovely pick-me-up!
The compact features the powder with a flip top lid housing a handy little mirror and sponge applicator underneath. The only thing it's missing is a makeup artist to actually apply it!
My one downside is that the mirror and sponge compartment is quite fiddly to open as it's right next to the main closer, but I can live with that.
All in all, great little addition to the makeup bag and will keep an eye out for the Maybelline range on my next indulgent shopping trip (in 20 years or so when my children have flown the nest!)

My summer skin answer?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder could be just what I'm looking for..... as a 46 year old woman my skin is starting to show its age. I also still have occasional breakout too and I was thrilled with this Powder. I have medium skin tone and initially thought Caramel 350 shade would be a bit dark but as it went on it looked natural and a good shade. The cover was impressive with just one coat, it didn't settle in my age lines, tackled my uneven skin tone and even made a raging new spot look calmer! I applied it with a blending type brush and they seemed a good combo. There is a sponge and handy mirror in the compact too which is ideal for having in your handbag. My skin certainly didn't feel clogged after the powder was applied, the powder seems really light. I will definitely be using this regularly from now on, good to have an alternative to heavy foundation.
