[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has always purchased foundation at a beauty counter to ensure a colour match I was interested in seeing if this foundation was a cheaper alternative to my usual. Whilst the colour match was good, and there are a number of shades available, I did not like the way this foundation sat on my skin. I tried using multiple times, on un-moisturised skin, moisturised, and even exfoliated and moisturised and still did not get on with the way it sat on my skin. It looked patchy and dry, even though my skin is combination style. Admittedly it did look better after a couple of hours wear, but still not as good as my usual brand.

My holy grail foundation was the original superstay 24h, used to get compliments left right and center and it worked amazingly with the rest of my makeup (blends seamless with age rewind concealer). Noticed the new superstay 30h active wear and thought it would be simelar formula. Not at all, very thick like clay, dries so quick it's almost impossible to blend. It sticks to every thing on your face, every little hair or pore. I'm genuinely gutted, had to buy the last 2 of the original from a supermarket and hope it lasts me a while. Please bring back the original formula as an option, why fix something that isn't broken?

Really impressed but not long lasting as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the same foundation for several years so was reluctant to change but this really impressed me. The liquid formula is lightweight and nice to apply although it dries and becomes tacky quickly so it's difficult to blend but is definitely buildable. The coverage is excellent and I love the matte finish, plus the shade really suited my skin tone. I didn't use a primer or moisturiser before applying but will do in future as it clung to dry patches. I'm a little disappointed as it wasn't transfer resistant as claimed. I have combination skin with an oily T zone so this area became shiny and the foundation came off when touched, perhaps using a primer will help with this.

Good foundation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i tested this foundation for just under a week. I normally wear Estee Lauder shade 1w1 for reference and Maybelline True Ivory 03 was a good match. Foundation has a pump which is good. I used a brush to spread it out and a sponge for final blending which worked well. The foundation is matt but not too heavy or chalky. I have quite dry skin in some areas and it did cling a bit to the dryness even when I applied quite a heavy duty moisturiser. Is not transfer proof. Doesn't last 30 hours - I wore it for 12 and could see it starting to break up even with setting spray and powder. Is a good everyday foundation.

I have been using this for more than 8 months daily as I work 6 days a week some weeks and have old fire scars on my face . I worry about my scars showing with other makeup but with this it covers my scars really really well for up to 10 hrs without me reapplying . Only thing is it dries fast so I have to work really quickly so it does not patch but that’s because it’s matte. From my personal experience I absolutely love this product . I would put my pics up of my scars but not that confident to show my skin with my scars .I highly recommend it if you have facial scars or blemish that needs covering up . It’s light at first but after a few days of being open the foundation thickens.

Caramel beige in old 24hr formula was incredible p

After thousands spent on makeup I was so happy many years ago to find the coverage, performance and colour match for my skin. Even with bad acne I’d be complimented on my skin daily. It was breathable yet full coverage so not concealer needed, didn’t enhance fine lines and would look brilliant after a full day out even if it rained or I went swimming etc. why on earth did it have to change? Cannot find another that even comes close. Even when trying to mix your caramel with soft bronze or true ivory etc I’ve tried so many combos and the new formula doesn’t mix and blend like the old 24hrs one did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this foundation today, a single pump was enough for my whole face, a little extra was used to blend down to the neck but it was super easy to blend just with your figures - The finish looks very natural and just as advertised, it is light weight. The colour really does stay on your skin, you'll need to double cleanse to make sure you really get it all off! It didn't budge even after a workout. The finish is quite matte, which I fixed with a hydrator as my skin is on the drier side and would otherwise look a little cakey. As long as you prep your skin will though, it should be fine!

Please bring old formula back!!

I bought this couple of months back and trust me I am not reaching for it and it’s sitting in my drawer. I want to love it as I loved the old one so much which was my goto foundation. Everything about the old one was perfect. I had high end foundation as well but still like it and always in my collection Since it was launched used many bottles of it……. But this new version is thick,cakey, hard to blend shade is light and so not reaching for it. I never write review for any product but I love old 24hr superstay so much that I have to write it new one is not at all good.

LA PEOR QUE HE PROBADO

Estoy de acuerdo con todas las demás reseñas de 1 estrella, es horrible desde el momento en que la aplico. Tengo piel seca y he probado de todo: sellando, no sellando, mezclando con una crema hidratante y nada ha servido, no se integra para nada en la piel y la zona de la nariz queda tan mal que me daba vergüenza que se me acercasen. Es la peor base que he probado en mi vida, sé que hay gente a la que le funciona pero por más que lo intento no consigo entender cómo.

This foundation is so thick it clogs the nozzle sending the foundation squirting in random directions unless I clean it out eveytime. I have wrecked clothes with it and had it spray all over my car seats, I still haven't figured how to clean the stains yet. Once applied it dries before I can even spread it over my face, let alone blend it. I tried mixing it with a moisturiser but it just reacted with it and became clumpy like I was rubbing pva glue on my face. Once it dries it clings to every bit of dry skin on my face and gets about 3 shades darker.

Great Value for Money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The colour match was slightly darker on me however this would be great for wearing when I have self-tanned.
I think this foundation is very good value for money as it has a very high quality feel when applying. The sheen and finish you get also reminded me of Nars Sheer Glow but with a lot more staying power!
I’ve already recommended this to my friend who has really oily skin and is a student so always looking for a bargain!
Will definitely repurchase when I run out as you can’t go wrong for the price and the quality of the formula.

BRING BACK 24 HOUR STAY

I used 24 hour stay for years, only foundation that didn't break me out and lasted. Tried this new 30 hour stay as I assumed it would be the same as the old one just longer lasting...I was wrong! This new foundation is horrendous. They have completely changed the formula, it dries so quick before you've had chance to blend it onto your skin, it's heavy and thick. It doesn't even last 2 hours so no idea where they got 30 hours from. It sits in every line and pore, I want to wipe it off as soon as I've put it on. DONT BOTHER BUYING THIS!!

Worst Foundation ive ever used.

I bought this in hope of finding a cheap alternative drug store foundation this stuff is awful. It broke me out in spots for a start, doesnt actually provide any coverage when its supposed to be full coverage, it makes my freckles look worse! It does NOTHING for my skin texture if anything it appears better without it. Its extremely patchy takes forever to blend and it doesn't stay on 30 minutes... i think the 30 hours is actually for how long it will take you to leave the house trying to apply it without looking a dreadful mess.

I’ve used the 24h foundation for years had to buy this one as couldn’t find the one I usually have, the 30h is too thick a formula to blend well before it drys, not a great coverage and I don’t know where they get 30h from lasts a couple of hours before it goes patchy im in my fifty’s and wear make up 7 days a week and need full coverage but want it to actually stop on my face all day. I hope they read all these reviews and realise how wrong they’ve got it!! have to look else where for a foundation.. another customer lost.

Great long lasting foundation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this foundation. The shade match was really good, it blended really well. I applied the foundation using a Beauty Blender and it spread evenly. With one coat it was a medium-full coverage, but it didn't feel at all heavy or cakey. The foundation was very long wearing. Even when I tried a swatch on the back of my hand it still lasted after I had washed my hands many times and used hand sanitiser. Overall, I was really impressed with the foundation and would use on an every day basis for long days at work.

Patchy, thick and transfers easily

I used to use the 24hr super stay one for many years, but as it is no longer made and this appears to have replaced it, I purchased this instead.
The shade, despite being the same name comes up much darker on my skin and dries in cakey patches before I can finish blending it in. It rubs off easily when wearing a mask and the formula is so thick it often blocks the nozzle of the bottle.
It feels heavy on the face and highlights pores and drier patches and no matter how much I blend there is always a foundation line!

The WORST foundation I’ve ever used

I can’t believe this is what has replaced the original 24hr superstay, that foundation has been a go to for me, it had beautiful coverage and looked flawless and lasted all day even under a mask, the 30hr is terrible, it’s patchy, chalky and difficult to blend, sinks into every pore and fine line making you look 20 years older than you are, it also doesn’t last at all, nothing layers nicely on top of it and the foundation just disappears underneath. Avoid this at all costs, please bring back the 24hr version

I have bought this for the past two years and has worked brilliantly with my acne, has caused no breakouts or flare ups and was full coverage , covering all my scars. However has now been discontinued. Tried the new version of the superstay foundation and it is not the same AT ALL it has caused so many breakouts, has a weird water consistency and although it claims it has good coverage COVERS NOTHING! Highly disappointed this has been discontinued and needs to be brought back ASAP!

Bring back 24hr! This is horrible.

I bought this a few days ago to replace my Super Stay 24hr that had just run out. I originally thought that it was just a change in the packaging and went ahead and bought two bottles. I got it out, ready to put it on before work and water came out followed by some thick, sludge-like foundation. It look horrendous on my face and didn't even last the walk to my car and that was without having a mask on.
I used the 24hr for years and its always been my go-to. Really disappointed.

I have normal skin so lots of foundation works for me. However, this foundation was so difficult to blend, from a distance the foundation looked good but looking closely it I saw separated almost instantly before I even applied concealer and set in places I never even noticed before. After a few hours it felt crusty on my skin it felt like something was peeling off. I've tried with and without a primer, checked all base ingredients and nothing works. This is the worst foundation.

I don't often wear makeup during the day (especially since covid lockdowns etc) but this is such a nice coverage. It is full coverage but feels so light to put one compared to other full coverage foundations I have tried colour match it fairly good and it has a matt finish. Personally I am more of a dewy girl so I am mixing illuminating drops in with the foundation before putting it on and this gives a really nice finish. I will be recommending.

I have been looking for a good drugstore foundation for years and finally found the perfect one with the superstay 24 hr foundation, I purchased the 30hr foundation thinking they had just changed the packaging but they have completely reformulated! Bring back the 24hr foundation the new one is awful! So drying dries out as soon as you apply it, difficult to blend and concealers don’t blend well with it I can’t even put into words just how disappointed I am with this new formula

I'm absolutely disgusted, my favourite and the only foundation I ever use, ye have absolutely destroyed and ruined it!!! All it is now is cakey crappy gunk, why in gods name do ye try and fix something that is broken, I'd rather pay double the price for something I can use then have to throw it in the bin, I'm absolutely sickened over it, maybelline ye should be ashamed because I certainly am ashamed of ye. Definitely will not be buying anymore of yer pure rubbish products.

The worst formula. Bring back the 24hr stay!

I have used the 24hr in the shade sun beige and it was a foundation I swore by! However, the new 30 hour formula is horrendous. It’s super dry, feels too thick on the skin, and it becomes quite patchy when trying to see it because of how dry and thick the formula is. The shade also seems to have gotten darker from what it initially was.
I have never been this disappointed with a foundation.
I urge you to please bring back the 24hr stay with the old/initial formula.

Even the Mud Can't Ruin It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading that the foundation has been testing during a gym session, I thought why not give it a test while out Mountain Biking. After washing and moisturising my face and applying some eyeshadow, I applied the foundation with my fingers (did not have access to a sponge). I was also not able to apply powder or blush but that was fine.
I looked a little pale (probable could try a darker shade) but as I rode and began to warm up, colour came through the foundation which made me look better.
Even when getting splashed with mud, no foundation came off my face. The only area where foundation got removed was on my forehead where my helmet sat due to build up of sweat in that area.
I am pretty happy with how my test worked out. Would definitely recommend and I will probably test again using proper application methods.

I bought this thinking it was the same product as the 24 hour just in different packaging
Little did I know this foundation is and I found it hard to blend without it sticking or drying to bits of skin, also when I went to apply the same concealer that I use every day it turned gray looking, the 24 hour foundation was amazing I used it everyday but this is terrible even the shade Isnt the same as the 24 hour even thought they are the same shade name and number

I've been using Maybelline superstar foundation Nu.ber 40, Fawn Cannell. And now, not only have you changed the packaging, but you have also changed the numbers and omitted the na.e of the shade. WHY? I struggled to select a suitable shade, but now I'm home, I find it' seems darker than the fawn. I haven't used it yet, but the least you could have done was use the shade name. And why different numbers? It's seems a similar consistency, so I'll recommend.

I have used the superstay 24 hour foundation for about 10 years, I had to buy this new version this time and it is the worst product ever! It is thin like water and doesn't cover at all! I have vitiligo so rely on my foundation to hide the white patches on my face. The new version does nothing whereas the old one was perfect. I have now transferred to a different brand and I am so glad I have. Maybelline you have lost a lifelong customer!

Always loved the 24 hr and the warm nude shade was perfect... Ran out and bought this thinking it was the same product just different packaging and begun to be horrified what they did with the consistency and the shade of the product was now lighter and not a warm tone anymore and looked like I had put my concealer all over my face.. Can't believe what they did to this product. Disgruntled longtime costumer and want to return this.

I bought this after always using the 24 hour maybelline foundation and let me tell you I’ve tried so many different ways to apply this and used different primers, exfoliation, face creams, without primer and each time it’s dried my skin and other makeup products out. I highly don’t recommend this foundation as it doesn’t even stay on 30 hours like it should. Made my makeup look cracked and disgusting. Won’t ever be buying it again
