Bring back the older version

I have been buying these hoping that I'll just get better at using them but it's my third one since the older satin duo got discontinued and it still looks like garbage. The powder has a hard time coming out and the pencil ends is so soft and clumpy it just gives smudgy clown brows. It's okay kinda in the thicker brow area but where I have less hair is at the tails and instead of filling in the area the pencil just smears soft brown all over my skin and clumps there. I ended up scrapping it for another product and brand entirely. In my opinion there was absolutely no need to improve the original duo satin product.

Great for full looking brows!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This express brow pencil is excellent, best one I've tried in a long time and excellent value for money, it definitely gives fuller looking eyebrows and lasts all day, put it on before then went our first a meal after and I didn't need to touch it up looked just as good as 1st thing in the morning. I have very fine eyebrows and light without using a eyebrow pencil you can't really see mine, had loads of comments regarding my eyebrows from customers at work especially because of wearing face mask my eyes and eyebrows are a focal point so lots of positive comments.

Do Not Change What Isn’t Broken!!

Why on earth do companies insist on changing products that do not need changing!?! I have used the Xpress Brow Satin Duo pencil for years and this new version is absolutely awful!! Like others have said, the teardrop shape is so difficult to use & leaves you with a faint line if you manage to use the thin end or a thick clumpy line if you use the thicker end. The consistency is horrible too and ends up clumpy and disappears throughout the day. It takes twice as long (if not longer) to do my brows now. I will not be buying this again. I am so disappointed Maybelline and hope you take note of all of these dissatisfied reviews. You have lost me as a loyal customer! Save yourself time and money and disappointment and don’t buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this is a 2 in 1, both a pencil/crayon and a powder. I wasn't able to get my preferred colour, dark blonde, so tried the medium brown which was slightly too dark for me (my hair's naturally blonde) but not excessively so.
I found the product easy and quick to apply, the two elements worked well together and it stayed in place very well until I took my makeup off. I'd definitely buy this in my usual colour, it felt easier to use than my normal eyebrow pencil (my eyeborws are quite thin due to a thyroid condition, so always have to fill them in!)

Changing my brand after this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received this part of a programme. I have been using it only for few days. I really like it. It gives me such a natural look but you can build up. I just prefer an natural look just few strokes and then i am done. I used to buy more luxury equivalent brand but now i will continue to use this. Its 2 in 1 feature is so good too. I was hesitant about the colour but i didnt want too black look so i went for dark brown and it is just such a good colour. I have medium tan skin. If you are looking for brow product this is definitely the one

My new favourite

I've been using it for 5 days now and I really like it . The shade matches my complexion perfectly. The pencil is very easy to use and the powder is great addition helping me to achieve perfect natural look quick and easy. It stays on the whole day and doesn't smudge. Great pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to be honest in my reviews, this is such a great product but unfortunately not for me. I have never ever been the type of person to do my eyebrows and I struggled with this pencil.. Not because of the product. Because of me. One thing I did like though was the blender on the other end. When I made a mistake it was easy to blend into my eyebrows with the sponge! I would certainly recommend it to someone who knew what they were doing or for someone who knew what they are doing to do my eyebrows.

Superb in fixing flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencil end glides pretty smoothly . And I am impressed to say that it really fills the eyebrows quickly. The other end, at first I just dont know why only a tiny powder comes out but then realises that its purpose is to perfect the lines made by the pencil end! The nice part is that by using the powder end (its like a cushion that releases subtle colour), it blends the colour in your brows perfectly to make it look natural. I must say… I am really loving it!!!

New Design is Pointless and Impractical

I have been using brow satin for years and years. The new design is impractical and very annoying to use compared to the original - I would have rated the original 5 stars. I don’t see the point of this new design, the thin side you want to use gets worn down then you’re left with the thick side making really thick heavy lines. Hopefully maybelline takes notice of all of these reviews and brings back the original. Good example of if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it!

Super fast great looking brows

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Express Brow for several days now and I’m really impressed. I use the pencil to fill in gaps particularly the tails of my brows which have started to vanish. The triangle shape of the pencil allows you to draw a really natural and precise shape. I then use the powder over my whole brow to darken them as my brows are quite fair. It gives a really natural effect that lasts all day.

Simple and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m generally not a fan of eyebrow products. They tend to either be too complicated to use or require skills which I don’t have. I found this surprisingly easy and simple to use. The pencil doesn’t release too much product so it’s not messy and makes it easier to do a more subtle look that you can build on top of. And the powder brush allows for blending I would otherwise not be able to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried many brow pencils although very good this brow pencil with filling powder is next level. I love it. It’s easy to apply, giving shape to the brow and the sponge applicator blends well leaving a natural looking full brow. It lasts all day/night without wearing off or smudging and easily removed at the end of the day/night. Great brow pencil and excellent value for money.

Perfect for a natural look!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think I picked the wrong shade and would go a little darker next time, but overall this is a really lovely eyebrow pencil. It defines the shape really nicely and builds well, and so far I really like using it on the inner corners with a darker, more precise eyebrow pencil on the outer corners. I highly recommend this product and will buy it again in the future.

Color pelirrojo!!

Compré este producto hace una semana. Llevo años usando y ahora, aparte de que no pigmenta, a los minutos se vuelve pelirrojo. Con la Luz blanca en las tiendas se ve muy pelirrojo. Mis amigos me dijeron qué me había echado en las cejas y por eso me di cuenta. De verdad no sé qué ha pasado... Vuelvan al de siempre, era fantástico y lo he usado durante años.

However the caps can easily be put on the wrong end so maybe different colours for the pencil and filling powder would have helped. The pencil is pointed to help mark out your eyebrow. The filling powder was thr best part of this pencil and made my eyebrows looks more natural with this! Absolutely love it.

Natural, thick brows that stay on all day

You can go for a very natural brow with the powder end alone, or go for a thicker fuller brow using the pencil and the powder. I love that it’s 2 in one, I use the powder of a day and both ends for nights. The shade isn’t a red brown either, it’s very ashy and not too warm on me which I love!

Great Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for a week. And im very impressed with this pencil. Its very soft to apply and fills in evenly in the brows. They look more defined with the shape and prominent with the colour. It lasts all day and doesn't smudge. And easily comes off in the evening when I cleanse my face. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

While using both sides, it gives a strong defined brow. But, if only using the powder, it gives a more subtle natural look, which I really liked. It stayed put and in place. It was also fine to wash off. There seems to be a good range of colours too.

I tried this out for my Halloween party make up, I liked the triangle shape of the pencil and the filling powder brush really smooth colour out nicely however brows did not last long and my eyebrows smudged half way though the evening and I had to use my old 24h lasting pencil instead.

Super Handy for Quick Brows On the Go

I love how easy to use the product is and the tip of the pencil is so useful for shaping. I'd use this product when I want bolder brows rather than natural and I've found the pigments long lasting. For fine brows

I prefer their semi permanent brow pencil. This is probs suited for someone with really fine brows I have quiet thick brows so I don't need much pencilling in. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this pencil, the sponge is very good and soft. I was worried my black brows was going to look fake but sometimes I only use the sponge as it leaves me with a very natural-looking brows and takes me seconds.
It is very easy and quick to use and doesn’t leave any harsh lines, lasts all day long and doesn’t fade.

Bring back Brow Satin!!!

I used to use the Brow Satin eye brow pencil and loved it and I'm so disappointed that it has been taken off the market. I find this new express one is too thick and much darker and it goes on like a crayon. Don't like it at all and I'll have to go in search of an alternative product. Bring back the Brow Satin PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Effortless brows

Tricky to use

The pencil end of the product works well, it has a great triangle shape which helps produce fine lines or thicker ones if you prefer

The pencil end is really easy to use and despite initially not being sure about the sponge powder filling end it did a great job filling in any parts of my brows that needed abit extra to create a fuller more even look.

On one end there is a pencil that shapes and defines the brow, on the other a sponge-based applicator with powder to fill in and soften where needed. Easy to apply, long lasting, easy to remove with water at the end of the day, comes in a range of colours, perfect!

I also bought the smokey eyeliner pencil which was great only downside was the pencil is not dense enough. When I applied a slight pressure it broke twice. So please make them a bit stronger. Thanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Express Brow 2 in 1 pencil in Brunette. I have very dark eyebrows and could have maybe gone a shade darker although this shade was fine for me to use despite initially thinking it may be too light.
First I used the brown triangle stick crayon side of the pencil to fill in the missing 'tails' of my eyebrows, then used the powder sponge applicator side to fill and enhance my whole eyebrow. The result was full natural looking eyebrows which actually last (I have oily skin and tried many brands of brow pencils, crayons, powders, wands, none which were as good as this as they tended to fade or smudge within a few hours of wear.)
As someone with naturally sparse, thin eyebrows, this Express Brow 2 in 1 pencil is a blessing. I love how it's is super easy and quick to apply, which is great when you're in a rush and don't have much time.
I will be buying this in future instead of my usual brow pencil as it's a clear winner :)
I have greasy skin and it stays put :)

The powder applicator was very nice and soft and the shape of the pencil was unique. The colour was also perfect!

Quick, easy & portable
